Dun be too harsh on Ho China and Temasek. They have done a good job for many years. They were hit by the recession like all other companies. But they should not be receiving bonuses at all and pay cuts should be in line, like the rest of us. Walk the Talk.

There is some confusion in the market whether Temasek's " portfolio value fall by at least $40 billion in the year to March 2009" is for its financial year ending March 2009 (12months) or for the 3 months in 2009 ending March 2009. With a reported loss of $58 billion from March to November 2008, does it mean that Temasek recovered $18 billion in the first 3 months of 2009, or that Temasek's total 12 months loss to March 2009 is $98 billion? The former is severe but the latter will be even more horrendous. Please help to illuminate.
