The new range sits between the existing high-performance M range and regular BMW machines - much in the same vein as Audi's 'S' series of vehicles. The first model announced internationally is the M550d, equipped with a 3.0-litre diesel engine with three turbochargers. Gasoline variants are expected to be announced soon.
