I can see that Singaporeans are really suffering during this recession. The situation is further exacerbated with the flooding of cheap foreign labour.

The plight of suffering Singaporeans will not improve unless we reverse the influx of cheap foreign workers here.

If this is not done, than I guess Singaporeans might have to seriously consider seeking employment in the rapidly growing economies of neighbouring countries.

Incumbent multi-millionaire gahmen MPs should wake up to reality and experience our hardships. Have they ever experienced their utilities cut off when unable to pay their bills and with infant and elderly folks to support? Threatened with legal action from town council despite owing less than $150 by giving 7 days' notice and that their letter arrived 3-4 days after late from their issuing date? I think we should migrate, take up PR elsewhere and whack the incumbents in coming GE.

I really love Singapore because having studied and worked in the US, I can tell you that cost of living is much lower (beef is not $20 per kg) and the standard of living (work life balance, medical, facilities, etc.) is much better and the pay will enable me to buy a Starbucks everyday without having to worry abt not being able to afford lunch and dinner later. Within a year, I can afford a car, house and have 4 kids.
But who wants that?! I want to live with fellow chinese, eat my laksa, work 18 hours a day and still not be able to afford a condo or a car or even to take care of 1 kid.
