Thousands of Singaporeans are out of work for years. Many thousands more are earning meagre salaries that is insufficient for them to support their families. It doesn't matter to them whether there is another dip or two. Things look very bleak for us.
Since the policy of flooding Singapore with cheap foreign labour looks set to continue, the best hope for long suffering Singaporeans would be to seek employment in the rapidly growing economies of our neighbours. salaries there are expected to overtake those in Singapore very soon.
