Some key recommendations

To become Asia's most liveable city

- Boost vibrancy in areas with unique heritage and character, eg Bras Basah-Bugis, Orchard Road, Singapore River; decentralise economic activities, eg to Jurong Lake District, Paya Lebar

- Invest in cutting-edge sustainable development strategies/technologies, to build highly-liveable precincts eg Punggol, Marina Bay

- Attract more top-notch international events eg in sports, arts, music, cuisine, fashion

To become leading cultural capital in Asia

- Rejuvenate the Civic District with stronger programming, marketing and linkages between cultural institutions; encourage original, innovative art forms and entertainment content

- Let out vacant state-owned properties as affordable space for budding creative enterprises

To attract and nurture diverse pools of talent

- House five world-class institutions or programmes by 2020 in new disciplines eg the arts, design, sports

Building Castle
This newly formed ESC should stay focus in shaping Singapore economy. While I agree with ESC to get Singapore a skillful, innovative, and high productive nation in the coming future, underground city and waterfront city are stretching our financial resources.

With so many eggs in one basket, it is difficult to achieve the desired result. Perhaps, ESC should prioritize the immediate challenges given the sentiments of people concerning stability and jobs.

This is no time for day dreaming since Singapore is just out of woods from recession. We have yet to find a formula concerning influx of foreigners. It is silly to consider the underground option to accommodate locals and foreigners alike.

There was a recent report of a big earthquake going to hit Aceh and Sumatra, yet our planners seem to have no idea what they are talking about. Economy building without considering nature and environment is doubtful of success, China and Indonesia are good examples.

Same Song Different Tune
So many man hours of discussion, paying Millions to Millionaires and what have been produced is another 'Title' and 'Tune' for a Song with the same lyrics.

Attract talent, Attract diverse pools of Talent. What has changed regarding this point? Nothing.

Affordable space? There's no such thing as affordable space, just so-called 'market-subsidized' space.

'Cultural capital'? When PAP Millionaire says what can and cannot be asked, they curtail freedom of expression. Singlish content?

Sustainable strategies/technologies? Like Chartered Semiconductor, which have been sold to foreigners?

PAP is constipated. At the same time, they are regurgitating old vomit.

Enough is Enough.

The ideas are the same, we need new implementers.

Vote PAP OUT.

all these sectors falls under the Creativity and Entrepreneurship categories, which is sadly sterilized due to Singapore's One-Party State, National Service and a Rote Learning Education System.
