What kind of logic is this? If the majority of Singaporeans are vegetarians, does it mean that we must make the eating of meat illegal?

Since Singapore Society are not ready for homosexuality, the Civil Service should screened applicants for essential jobs like the police or prison where there are many senior officers who holds important designation dressing ambigiously and have doubtful sexual preferences. Since the Singapore society are not ready, are we willing to trust these groups of people with decisions though I have nothing against these people but since the law are against such act, would I want to entrust law enforcers who have unwittingly breached the law? The nswer is no because it is so ironic.
