Causeway Point food mall back in business
After being shut for five days, the former Horizon food mall - now renamed Mega food mall under new operator Banquet Holdings - was back in business yesterday to cash in on Causeway Point's festive crowd.

And with fewer stalls reopening for now - out of the 26 food stalls, only a dozen were open for business yesterday - food stall owners hoped for a bigger share of the spoils to make up for their earlier losses.

About half of the existing stall owners would not be renewing their leases. Eventually, the operator plans to reconfigure the food court to accommodate 20 stalls and Mr Lee expects all the stalls to be operational within a fortnight.

Customers MediaCorp spoke to welcomed the food court's re-opening but they can hardly wait for the remaining stalls to open. "Some of the stalls that we frequent quite regularly are still not open," lamented one customer. WANG ENG ENG
