Lee, evolution got a huge jolt with women emancipation . Since then, the momentous progress of the fairer sex in all fields, literally took away the breath of their male counterparts. Females with the looks, figure and education etc, can opt to play on a decidedly uneven field. The males with the looks, the physique, the intelligence etc might not necessarily possess the social skills to ensnare a date with a comely female. Dating precedes the much more serious issue of hitching up for life. There are numerous factors, mutating all the time, to make boy-girl relationship a pretty dicey one. How does one define a nice guy, btw? It is a subjective perception borne of cultural, religious, sectoral or racial conditioning. Relationships that stand the rigors of time, friction, aging etc, are hardly the norm nowadays. Marriages are no longer sacrosanct. Active senior citizens no longer feel compelled to remain in a loveless union, and marriage vows quickly forgotten. Wise guys do better?

Hi guys, yes it is hard, harder if you're hideous and have absolutely no talent whatsoever. The only talent one has is to stay as still as possible while the women laugh at you for even trying. Okay, let's turn this around and think of the kind of woman you'd like to date. Would you date the woman who knows how so sweet talk or the blunt and ugly one who has nothing to offer?

Hi Lee
Yes most nice guys seldom get their girls. First nice guys dont know how to do small sweet talks. This is very importment to the girls. Second nice guys will always shy away when some guys brag about how knowledgable and being smart. Girls will just fall for them. Third nice guys are normally not very romantic when is come to love.
So somtime its very difficult to understand women and what they wants.

Hi there Lee, on the other hand, I have seen extremely ugly guys with acne being successful with women and have no problem filling their appointment books with hot dates.
One can never figure out what a woman really wants but I think its something to do with wits and the gift of the gab which most baddies are good at.
Girls no matter how intelligent they are, love to be fooled by 'clever talk'.

Hello Nick, it's always nice to read your column. Well, I would say in evolutionary terms, the "bad guy" is the one that can protect and provide for the woman and the family. The "nice guy" get killed. Period. As much as how modern society wants to pretend we've progressed from our ancestors, we still possess the same primitive instincts. I know perfectly well. I am extremely ugly with bad acne and all and I've never been romantically loved by anyone because in natural selection, I should not pass on my genes.
