The whole thing reeks of the word "OPPORTUNISM". Cheng is an exemplary example of the deep down really apathetic and opportunistic Singaporeans. Still the system deserves what it nurtures. All of us now should keep tabs on and continually scrutinise his performance in Parliament, much more so that the other NMPs.

Calvin could not have anticipated that before he had participated in any of the Parliamentary debates/discussions, doubts and innuendos are hurled his way so generously. He has gone public to explain his stand, and the rationale for his actions. Let us all be a wee bit magnanimous and forgiving: help, guide, advise, counsel or even direct him, if one has the relevant experience, knowledge and wisdom. Mr P N Balji, in particular, has the wherewithal to make that definitive difference to Calvin's contributions as an NMP. Indeed, this newbie NMP has lots to learn, and as he matures in his role as an NMP, he should be appreciative of the suggestions, criticisms and inputs, started right here in this forum. This baptism of fire should do him a world of good.

Oh. And by the way, Sunny, there was no cat either in the entire play. :) Cheers. So no cat was killed ;)
