Don't complicate the parking system. Why pay more to park in season parking lots? It will cause inconveniences to residents. If HDB decided that visitors can park up to 7PM or 5PM, so be it.

HDB does not have standard rules and that's confusing. It should just maintain 2 schemes. Very popular car parks, seasoned parking all day long with red markings. Normal car parks, seasoned parking 7 pm to 7 am with yellow markings. Where I lived, seasoned parking begins at 10 pm! What a joke but it's not funny if resident return home between 7 - 10 pm but can't find a lot.

maybe HDB can come up with a flexi-scheme that allows visitors who are willing to pay more use the seasoned parking lots between certain timings, and/or charge residents lower for the use of seasoned parking lots, if the 7pm rule is implemented. this will ensure fairness for both residents and visitors.
