Glamour girls Rui En, Rebecca and Jeanette: What it’s really like to be a starlet

Greetings and salutations, fellow stargazers! This is your Showbiz Sista plumbing the depths of the murky and complicated entertainment industry today -- in a manner of speaking!

The Dream Makers is Channel 8’s mid-year blockbuster drama serial and it’s about what goes on behind the scenes of the television industry. It stars Zoe Tay, Rui En, Jeanette Aw, Rebecca Lim, Qi Yuwu and more in roles like Producer, Director and airtime salesperson. Yeah, you kind of feel like this is some huge inside joke for the real producers, directors and salespeople -- but you know it’s still going to be ironic enough to be entertaining for the rest of us, too.

Our three young starlets are eyecatching indeed: Rui En plays a producer who’s persuaded to become a host; Jeanette plays an actress who loses herself in her quest for fame; and Bex is the foxy, thrice-divorced airtime salesperson.
