Tasting Australia From foodie festivals to arts extravaganzas, from team sports to motor sports and all sports between, when it comes to celebrations, South Australia is the place to raise a glass. Here, just a few of the key highlights to whet your appetite. Adelaide Cabaret Festival 10 – 25 June 2016 You can’t go past the biggest cabaret festival in the world – and Adelaide holds claim to this rather unusual title. It’s all about sequins and spotlights, glitz and glamour – so don’t be afraid to dress to impress. Dance floors across the city get a workout thanks to local, national and international musicians turning up the heat during this winter festival. The event also includes a diverse range of arts performances, such as satire shows, comedy spectacles and story-telling presentations, to name just a few.

Just over an hour’s drive north of Adelaide lies the Barossa – one of Australia’s top wine-producing regions and a foodie paradise renowned around the world. The backdrop is pretty incredible too – picture sprawling fields, miles and miles of vineyards, and luscious greenery carpeting the valley. The Barossa Gourmet Weekend is a celebration of all things food and wine, enjoyed slowly in true Barossa style. Long lunches, leisurely winery days and gourmet dinners are just some of the foodie happenings to get excited about.

The days are long and sunny, ‘Mad March’ bliss has truly set in, and the vibe is chilled out – an asset WOMADelaide is well known for. Partygoers come for the music, but they stay to chat, to eat, and to simply hang out. It’s four days of fun and fabulousness.
Clipsal 500 Adelaide March 2017 If you’re into fast cars then Clipsal 500 Adelaide cannot be missed! This is Australia’s biggest motorsport event and it’s truly epic. Trackside rev-heads are treated to four days of petrol-powered mayhem. But if you’re not into racing, no worries! Clipsal 500 Adelaide is great for the whole family. Kids are looked after with amusement rides and fun activities like face painting, while fashion parades have glamour girls covered. The rock-n-roll concerts are as epic as the races and always feature famous acts. Some past performers include KISS, Empire of the Sun, Cold Chisel and Rob Thomas… just to give you an idea of things to come.
