Budget statement to be delivered on Feb 23

Singapore’s 2015 Budget statement will be delivered on Feb 23 by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam in Parliament, the Ministry of Finance said yesterday.

There will be live television and radio coverage of the Budget statement. A live webcast will also be available at the Singapore Budget website, with the statement uploaded on the website after the speech is delivered.

The public can access information on the Budget via the Budget 2015 mobile app, which is available for download now on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. The app will let users stream the speech live, and provide access to press releases, real-time announcements, video clips, the Budget Quiz and an email subscription for the statement.

Members of the public can subscribe to a mailing list on the Singapore Budget website to receive the statement via email after it has been delivered. The free service will be available from Jan 23 to Feb 21. The ministry has also called for views and suggestions on issues relevant to Budget 2015. The ongoing feedback exercise will close on Jan 29.
