CALIFORNIA — Here is a look at Chief Executive Officers who received the biggest pay raises and biggest cuts last year compared with 2013, as calculated by the executive pay research firm Equilar for The Associated Press.

CALIFORNIA — Here is a look at Chief Executive Officers who received the biggest pay raises and biggest cuts last year compared with 2013, as calculated by the executive pay research firm Equilar for The Associated Press.

Whose pay rose the most:

1. Mr Richard Hayne, Urban Outfitters, US$535,636 (S$722,939), up 682 per cent

2. Mr David Zaslav, Discovery Communications, US$156.1 million, up 368 per cent

3. Mr John Richels, Devon Energy, US$14.9 million, up 301 per cent

4. Mr Jeffrey Leiden, Vertex Pharmaceuticals, US$36.6 million, up 179 per cent

5. Ms Patricia Woertz, Archer Daniels Midland, US$16.3 million, up 138 per cent

Whose pay fell the most:

1. Mr Stephen Kaufer, TripAdvisor, US$1.2 million, down 97 per cent

2. Mr Richard Adkerson, Freeport-McMoRan, US$8.4 million, down 85 per cent

3. Mr Sandeep Mathrani, General Growth Properties, US$4.9 million, down 78 per cent

4. Mr Thomas McInerney, Genworth Financial, US$2.7 million, down 78 per cent

5. Mr Sean Healey, Affiliated Managers Group, US$5.4 million, down 73 per cent
