SINGAPORE — The Singapore Exchange (SGX) has submitted a preliminary investigation report on the power malfunction that forced trading at South-east Asia’s biggest stock market to be suspended for several hours earlier this month.

The incident report was submitted to the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) on Tuesday, the SGX said in response to queries from TODAY. It did not provide further details.

As per securities and futures regulations, SGX was required to submit a report to the MAS within two weeks of the Nov 5 incident.

The bourse operator has set up a board of inquiry and appointed independent experts to look into what is now its largest disruption to date, after trading in the securities and derivatives markets came to a halt for nearly three and five hours, respectively.
