SINGAPORE — In a bid to give Singapore small and medium companies (SMEs) easier access to global online marketplaces, International Enterprise (IE) Singapore this morning (July 30) announced partnerships with US-based Amazon, China-based T-mall and Malaysia-based Lelong.

The deals with these marketplaces will help ease the listing process on their platforms, among other benefits for SMEs.

IE Singapore announced this at an e-commerce conference this morning.

For instance, companies can list products on Lelong at “competitive prices” and with a waiver of set-up fees, according to IE.

And on T-Mall, they can get listed under the Singapore Pavilion e-commerce shopfront, leveraging on its “good reputation for food safety and quality”, said IE.

Mr Teo Eng Cheong, IE Singapore CEO, pointing to rapidly growing e-commerce sales globally, said: ”Our partnership with the three e-Marketplaces will help SMEs lower barriers of entry and reduce operational costs, while accessing global markets quickly. By embracing offline to online channels, companies can diversify or complement their distribution channels.”
