SINGAPORE — All of the three local telcos have unveiled their prices for Apple’s iPhone 6, after SingTel and StarHub yesterday released their price plans following M1’s move last Friday.

The iPhone 6 will cost nothing at all three telcos if the consumer signs up for their respective top-level subscription plans, but the price will rise to S$1,060 for the larger iPhone 6 Plus paired with a basic plan, a breakdown of the range of offerings showed.

StarHub opened its booking site yesterday for customers who have registered their interest. Customers who successfully place an order can choose to collect their iPhone from any of the telco’s 35 participating retail outlets or have the phone delivered to them on Friday.

StarHub said the 16GB iPhone 6 will cost S$518 under the new 4G 3 plan, which will see subscribers charged S$42.90 per month. Under the same plan, the 128GB iPhone 6 Plus will cost S$935.

SingTel said customers who have pre-registered their interest will receive an email with details on how to book an appointment to purchase iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus at SingTel’s three-day launch event, which starts on Friday at Marina Bay Sands.

SingTel customers have to buy their smartphone with the new Combo plans announced last month. Under its Combo 2 plan, the 16GB iPhone 6 will cost S$518 with a S$42.90 monthly subscription, but unlike StarHub’s and M1’s offerings at the similar price point, SingTel’s plan will have 2GB of packaged data instead of 3GB.

Last Friday, M1 was the first telco here to release iPhone 6 prices. Yesterday, M1 suspended pre-orders for the iPhone 6 after discovering a potential security breach on its website.

In a statement on its Facebook page, M1 said: “As a precaution to protect our customers’ personal information, we will be temporarily suspending pre-orders while we urgently investigate this issue.”

Earlier in the day, M1 said its first batch of iPhone 6 Plus had been fully booked for pre-order.

Apple announced the new-generation iPhone 6 on Sept 9, along with the Apple Watch, a new Apple Pay cashless payment system and an update to its iOS mobile operating system.

Yesterday in America, Apple said it had more than four million pre-orders worldwide of its iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus within 24 hours, a record that exceeded its initial pre-order supply. CHANNEL NEWSASIA WITH AGENCIES
