SINGAPORE — The Republic’s business schools enjoyed mixed fortunes in the latest Financial Times annual Global MBA Rankings released yesterday.
The National University of Singapore’s (NUS) Business School climbed four places to 32nd, while the Nanyang Technological University’s Nanyang Business School (NBS) slipped six spots to 38th.
The NUS Business School fared well in several categories, including International Mobility — an indication of the international demand for its graduates — where it was ranked 10th.
There was a bright spot for NBS’ MBA programme: It came in 12th for value-for-money, ahead of the world’s top five business schools.
The school’s Dean, Professor K Ravi Kumar, noted the consistent recognition of the Nanyang MBA as one of the world’s 40 best business programmes. He added that the programme’s “intrinsic qualities may not always be reflected clearly in the natural fluctuations of school rankings”.
