AH BOYS TO MEN THE MUSICAL. Jack Neo’s hit movie makes it to the stage. Original cast Tosh Zhang, Wang Weiliang, Maxi Lim and Noah Yap will reprise their roles. Also joining in are Benjamin Kheng, Liu Qianyi, Chua En Lai, Patricia Mok and Zhou Chong Qing. Directed by Beatrice Chia-Richmond. Until April 27, 8pm, Resorts World Theatre, Resorts World Sentosa. ANNIE LEIBOVITZ: A PHOTOGRAPHER’S LIFE 1990-2005. A showcase of works by the iconic photographer spanning 15 years. AUSPICIOUS DESIGNS: BATIK FOR PERANAKAN ALTARS. An exhibition of unique Chinese altar cloths made of batik from Java’s Peranakan communities. Until Dec 28, 10am to 7pm, at the Peranakan Museum, 39 Armenian Street. http://www.peranakanmuseum.sg.

MEDIUM AT LARGE. Singapore Art Museum’s next exhibition explores the idea of medium in contemporary art and the “slipperiness” of it, utilising 30 works from the museum’s permanent collection as well as loans and commissions from artists. From April 25 at the Singapore Art Museum, 71 Bras Basah Rd.

SINGAPORE COMEDY FRINGE 2014. This inaugural event from Comedy Club Asia will feature 30 regional and international comedians through eight shows. April 23 to 26, 7.30pm and 9.30pm, DBS Arts Centre — Home of SRT. Tickets at S$20 and S$38 from Sistic.

BETWEEN THE SPACES. An exhibition by Dennis Tan that questions the idea of space as an entity, with various sound and kinetic sculptures. April 25 to May 3, noon to 9pm, The Substation Gallery. Free admission.

LANDINGS. A year-end show by 12 Master Of Fine Arts candidates from LASALLE College Of The Arts. April 24 to May 11 at Gallery 1 & 2, Institute of Contemporary Arts Singapore, LASALLE College Of The Arts. Free admission.

RAW: OTHER/S. As part of The Esplanade’s Studios series’ Raw showcase, Singapore’s Elizabeth de Roza and Danny Yeo team up with New York’s David Diamond and Glory Kadigan, all directors who present a work-in-progress piece featuring four characters dealing with issues in an alienated world. OUR ELUSIVE HERE. A group show of emerging artists Jeannie Ho, ren zi and Szto featuring dioramic installations, photography and video, all underscoring their search for the elusive sense of place. April 28, noon to 7pm, The Volvo Art Loft Volvo Showroom. Free admission.

STORY TIME. Singapore artist Tumadi Patri’s first one man show featuring contemporary batik paintings. April 23 to May 4, 11am to 6.30pm, DLR Gallery @ Muse House, 22 Marshall Road. Free admission.

MARK THIA: NIGHT THROWING. A new series of photographs by the Singapore artist who describes these as “performative self-portraits”, where object, language and the figure collide. Until May 11, 10am to 6pm, TriSpace, LASALLE College Of The Arts. Closed on Mondays and public holidays. Free admission.

…6767… DRAW-BRIDGE. A joint exhibition by the Nanyang Academy Of Fine Arts and Loughborough University showcasing artistic and design processes that are rooted in drawing. Until May 20, 11am to 7pm, NAFA Galleries 1 & 2. Closed on Mondays, Sundays and public holidays. Free admission.

WU SHANZHUANG & INGA SVALA THORSDOTTIR. Singapore Tyler Print Institute presents this conceptualist duo from China and Iceland, respectively, who present 30 new works based on language and history, that begin with their foundational symbol, the Perfect Bracket. Until May 17, 10am to 7pm, Singapore Tyler Print Institute, 41 Robertson Quay. Closed on Sundays and public holidays. Free admission.

SENTIENCE. The latest exhibition by Tay Bak Chiang who reinterprets the idea of monumentality in his “stone series of Chinese ink paintings. Until April 30, 11am to 7pm, Chan Hampe Galleries @ Raffles Hotel. Free admission.

CHINATOWN VINYL SQUAD. A group show from Kult that sees various local and international artists give Chinese vinyl record covers from the `70s and `80s a modern twist via drawing, painting, silkscreen and collage. Until April 29, 5pm onwards, Zui Hong Lou Bar, 8 Ann Siang Hill. Free admission.

SHOOTING HOME 2014. The annual photography exhibition presenting works by participant of a mentorship programme. Until April 30, 11am to 7pm, Objectifs Centre for Photography & Filmmaking, 56A Arab Street. Free admission.

IF THERE’RE SEASONS... The Theatre Practice’s heartwarming musical by Raymond To and Liang Wern Fook is back, directed by Kuo Jian Hong. A-Le moves to New York and meets A-Qiang and, eventually, an aspiring actress named Rose—and their lives are changed. Until April 27, 8pm, Drama Centre Theatre. With 2.30pm weekend matinees. LIM MU HUE: AN INVENTIVE LIFE. An exhibition that pays tribute to the late artist whose name was synonymous with woodcut prints, featuring 60 works comprising not only the latter but also pieces in oil, acrylic, pastel and ink. Until May 18, 11am to 7pm, Lim Hak Tai Gallery, NAFA Campus 1. Free admission. Closed on Mondays and public holidays.

MIRRORS IN THE DARK. Cultural Medallion recipient Lee Wen’s latest exhibition comprises new works on paper, self-portraits that draw on real photographs. Until April 27, 1pm to 6pm (closed from Sun to Tue), Grey Projects, 6B Kim Tian Road, Tiong Bahru. Free admission.
