WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY…? The stars of the hit British TV show return to Singapore. Comedians Andy Smart, Stephen Frost, Steven Steen and Ian Coppinger will be performing improvised comedy sketches according topics from the audience of the night. MEDEA ON MEDIA. The Theatre Group Seongbukdong Beedoolkee performs an adaptation of the Greek tragedy by Euripedes. Merging mass media with myths, it’s an edgy, contemporary retelling of a Greek classic. July 5, 8pm, NAFA Studio Theatre, Campus 3, 151 Bencoolen Street. Tickets at S$35 from SISTIC.

AKKA. Avant Theatre presents a re-staging of its 1991 show and the sequel, Akka – The End, as a double bill production. The play follows the plight of transgender women who lead unconventional lives. July 5, 8pm, School of the Arts. Tickets at S$31 from Peatix.

NINI IN CHANGI VILLAGE. Set in the 1960s, it’s an adaptation of an autobiographical comic of the same name by local cartoonist Fanny Lai. RED BY BLANK SPACE THEATRE. The Tony Award-winning bio drama written by John Logan and directed by Samantha Scott-Blackhall, Red is fictional account of Mark Rothko capturing the personality and psyche of a creative genius. RING-A RING-O’ ROSIE. A production collaboration between Theatre Group GUMBO (Japan) and Hatch Theatrics (Singapore), this quirky, multi-lingual play is about vampires and lowly angels moonlighting as doctors, nurses and pharmaceutical sales reps. FLUID. Fluid is an exploration of the notion of stage, theatrical space and audiences’ experience by The Theatre Practice’s Lab Directior, Liu Xiaoyi. July 12, 3pm, : Flexible Performance Space, LASALLE College of the Arts. Tickets at S$38 from SISTIC.

NANTA (COOKIN’). This non-verbal musical performance is derived from a traditional Korean instrumental performance, but using knives and other kitchen utensils instead. From washing vegetables to preparing for a wedding reception, NANTA chefs are set to entertain you. July 10 to 13, 2.30pm and 8pm, at Resorts World Theatre, Resorts World Sentosa. GLASGOW SCHOOL OF ART DEGREE EXHIBITION. This design exhibition is curated by the graduating students from the Glasgow School of Art / Singapore Institute of Technology. Comprising interactive installations that engage with themes such as politics, the environment and gender and sterotypes, the exhibition is open to members of the public. July 5 to 8 at the Temasek Polytechnic, 21 Tampines, Avenue 1.

WHERE DO I BEGIN. The Ode To Art gallery presents Singaporean artist Max Kong’s latest pieces in this solo exhibition. July 3 to 17, 4th Floor Raffles City Convention Center Foyer Area.

NO COUNTRY: CONTEMPORARY ART FOR SOUTH AND SOUTH-EAST ASIA. The first touring exhibition of the Guggenheim UBS MAP Global Art Initiative charting contemporary art practices in three major geographic regions, beginning with South and South-east Asia. Until July 20 at the Centre for Contemporary Art, 43 Malan Road, Gillman Barracks. Free admission.

NEW HORIZONS. The newly refurbished United Overseas Bank (UOB) Art Gallery presents UOB Painting of the Year 2013 winner Stefanie Hauger’s newest artwork. This new series titled, New Horizons, will be showcased alongside her winning art piece and its accompanying series. Until August 1 at the lobby of UOB Plaza One.

TALES FROM JALAN BUANG HOE. A multi-media shadow puppet and interactive painting performance, puppeteer Jeremy Hiah brings back forgotten local myths and legends of our multi-cultural, multi-racial Singapore. WAITING FOR THE ELEVATOR. By Singaporean artist Sarah Choo Jing, the multimedia installation depicts identifiable moments and characters within contemporary society.
