SINGAPORE — The Singapore Biennale 2013 opens on Saturday (Oct 26) and TODAY previewed the artworks that will be showcased. I have to say I was impressed – there were definitely some “ooohs” and “ahhhs” on my part. Seeing that this year’s Biennale focus is on South-east Asia, the regional “vibe” is definitely evident.

On top of the sneaks we’ve been posting recently, you can expect even more different talents in this year’s Biennale. Among many other works, look out for Indonesian artist Toni Kanwa’s Cosmology Of Life which consists of miniature sculptures, Filipino artist Leslie De Chavez’s oil painting Detritus, and have a little fun with Angie Seah’s installation titled Conducting Memories.

If this mini gallery of works showcased in this year’s Biennale is not enough and you can’t wait for our final top picks come Monday, visit our #artlanders site (http://tdy.sg/artlanders) or For Art’s Sake (http://tdy.sg/artssakeblog) for more on the Singapore Biennale.
