SINGAPORE — And so we plunge right back into another busy week for the arts: This year’s animal-themed M1 Singapore Fringe Festival kicked off on Wednseday while Singapore Art Week officially begins today (Sat), with a slew of exhibitions including the Prudential Eye Awards show. But before that, the latter was was caught up in a minor brouhaha, with questions raised about the event’s publicity booklet, which left out two of the three art fairs taking place during Art Week. Elsewhere, Singaporean artist Charles Lim’s short film SEA STATE 6 was selected for the short film competition at the 45th International Film Festival Rotterdam. MAYO MARTIN
