The 1963 Interview. Details of events under its pre-festival OPEN series were also unveiled, including the 100-man show, Ways Of Wandering. The National Arts Council and The Esplanade announced that the Victoria Theatre and Victoria Concert Hall will finally be open in October after a three-year renovation.

The 1963 Interview. Details of events under its pre-festival OPEN series were also unveiled, including the 100-man show, Ways Of Wandering. Elsewhere, The Esplanade’s Huayi Festival kicked off, Dave Chua’s cult novel Gone Case received a telemovie treatment with the first part airing last Sunday on MediaCorp Channel 5, and film-maker Kelvin Tong gets the Hollywood treatment (or backing) for his next film, Email.

Two musicals about former prime minister Lee Kuan Yew have also been slated to be staged next year. A Singapore Biennale Symposium was held a week before it wrapped up. MAYO MARTIN
