SINGAPORE — Last week was sombre with the death of veteran music composer and musician Kassim Masdor. The 76-year-old was a collaborator of Cultural Medallion recipient Yusnor Ef and the late P Ramlee. A cross-discipline performance titled Manifest was held as tribute to the late theatre veteran, Christina Sergeant, who passed away last February. Elsewhere, the National Arts Council and Ministry of Education held the National Arts Education Award, honouring 56 schools, and a dinosaur exhibition opened at ArtScience Museum. MAYO MARTIN
