Elsewhere, the inaugural edition of youth theatre festival Peer Pleasure kicked off; the National Arts Council and National Heritage Board announced the 18 recipients of their arts and heritage scholarships for this year; and the National Gallery Singapore revealed its line-up of food and beverage establishments, and opening date: Nov 24.

Organisers of the annual Singapore Night Festival revealed that next month’s edition will go with a “glitz and glamour” theme, while the Singapore Art Museum, organisers of the Singapore Biennale, finally announced its dates, postponing it to next October in light of this year’s busy Jubilee Year schedule and to coincide with the museum’s 20th anniversary.
