SINGAPORE — Britney Spears has announced dates in Manila and now, Hong Kong. The question is whether the pop diva will make an appearance in Singapore.

TODAY understands from industry sources that IMC Live is negotiating with her management to bring her in to perform. A spokesman for the company said that "we were in talks", but Spears' artiste management has yet to confirm a show.

Spears was last here in 1998 to perform at a closed-door event.

IMC Live is headquartered in Singapore, with offices China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Thailand. It most recently brought Santana to perform at the Suntec Convention Centre. Its next show here will be on April 25, when Generation Axe — referring to the show featuring legendary guitarists such as Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteen — will perform at The Coliseum.

Spears, 35, announced on Monday (April 10) that she would end her Las Vegas residency at The Axis at the end of this year. Her Piece of Me show has drawn 700,000 fans over four years, and the production has raked in US$100 million (S$140.48 million) in ticket sales.

She will perform in Manila on June 15, and in Hong Kong on June 27. Tickets to her Hong Kong gig at the AsiaWorld-Expo, by concert promoter Live Nation Lushington, will be from HK$588 (S$107) to HK$2,088, and go on sale to the public on April 24.
