SINGAPORE – It looks like Joi Chua can count Jackie Chan as her biggest fan.

The Singaporean singer was recently invited to perform Watch The Sunrise With Me, one of Chua’s big hits - and Chan’s favourite song from the singer - at a star-studded charity concert in Beijing last week to mark the action star’s 60th birthday.

Chan is said to have been “captivated” by Chua’s voice, after he first heard her song on the radio when he was caught in a jam about two years ago.

Chua later joined Chan as he performed a medley of songs for the 12,000-strong audience at the Beijing Workers’ Stadium. The concert also saw appearances by artistes including Jay Chou, Coco Lee, Wang Leehom, EXO and Nicholas Tse.

Chua’s trip to China was also to promote the release of her new song, Glass, the theme song of an upcoming film starring Hong Kong actors Charlene Choi and Chapman To, which is slated for release in cinemas across China, Hong Kong and Taiwan at the end of April. A Singapore release date is still pending.
