Trend#1: Celebrities will dump Facebook for ... Dayre

Our favourite celebrities are all on Twitter and Instagram, either sharing bizarre selfies (*cough* Rihanna) or announcing their retirement for the 100th time (*ahem* Bieber). And our grandparents have now arrived on Facebook, commenting inappropriately on our friends’ photos and sending us far too many invitations to play Candy Crush Saga. Hence, we believe, come this time next year, Facebook will only be used in the same sentence as MySpace and (gasp) Friendster. We don’t know which swanky new social media site will attract celebrity accounts, but our guess is the new cyber watering hole will have to gather the best functions of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr and even Line — like mobile app Dayre, perhaps? After all, it has to mean something if Xiaxue’s using the app, right?

Trend that has to die in 2014: Bitstrips. They stopped being funny before they were invented.
