SINGAPORE — Coldplay fans are obviously pumped up for the award-winning band’s sold-out shows on Friday (March 31) and Saturday (April 1).

Some 4,000 additional tickets to the performances at the National Stadium were released on Thursday (March 30) at 1pm. Although they only offer a restricted view of the stage, they are selling fast.

By 3pm, a spokesman for concert organiser Live Nation Lushington said that around 200 tickets, priced from $78 to $268, were still available.

They are only available online via the Singapore Sports Hub’s ticketing website. In previous sales, tickets were also available at the stadium’s box office and SingPost outlets.

Tickets to the National Stadium gig have been in high demand. Tickets for the April 1 show sold out within two hours, and a second show on Friday, March 31, was added. Tickets for the second show sold out within a day. Scalpers have been selling tickets for as high as $1,000 for a ticket originally costing $268. VIP tickets could go for between S$1,350 and S$9,912, compared to the official price of $298. Two men were also arrested for allegedly selling non-existent Coldplay concert tickets on Carousell.

Coldplay are here on their A Head Full of Dreams tour.
