Singapore actor Chen Tian Wen is set to leave audiences “stunned like vegetable” once more when he reprises his role as the zany crooner Eric Kwek from the music video, in the upcoming spin-off comedy film Mr Unbelievable.
Helmed by director Ong Kuo Sin, who created the viral music video and directed Spouse For House, the film has been described by the production team as “the comedic tale of an underdog who never loses his integrity and belief in his brand of music”.
Details of the plot and the complete list of main cast members will be revealed at a media conference next week.
Filming for Mr Unbelievable is expected to commence in early September. The film is estimated to cost about S$1 million, and is scheduled for release in December. CHANNEL NEWSASIA
