LOS ANGELES — Don’t mess with Jennifer Lawrence.

The actress’ Raven-Mystique character manages to get into a fight — while attending a fight — in a brief new clip from X-Men: Apocalypse that was released on her Facebook page.

In the scene, Kodi Smit-McPhee (who plays Nightcrawler) is being attacked by Ben Hardy’s Archangel character in what appears to be an underground cage fight (reminiscent of the cage fight in the original X-Men movie) as Lawrence strolls in and deals with a security guard, who asks, “Did you get lost, little mouse?”

Her response? A fast elbow to his face that leaves him out for the count.

Directed by Bryan Singer, X-Men: Apocalypse sees the fate of the Earth hanging in the balance as Raven and Professor X (James McAvoy) lead a team of young X-Men to stop Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac) and the Four Horsemen.

The cast also includes series regulars Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Nicholas Hoult (Beast) and Rose Byrne (Moira MacTaggert) reprising their roles, alongside newcomers to the franchise Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), Olivia Munn (Psylocke) and Lucas Till (Havoc). REUTERS

X-Men: Apocalypse will be in Singapore cinemas on May 19.
