SINGAPORE — Star Wars fans can be one with the force on their daily commute from the middle of this month when SMRT trains, decked in Star Wars decals, go into service.
The trains come as part of a partnership between SMRT, Disney and Lucas Film — the studios behind the new Star Wars film, The Force Awakens.
Among the characters featured include the mysterious Sith lord Kylo Ren, as well as old favourites like C-3PO and R2-D2. And if C-3PO and R2-D2 aren’t the droids you’re looking for, the new BB-8 droid is also featured in the trains.
For the enterprising space-pirates, Star Wars premiums and exclusive collectibles will also be available at SMRT shops, Kallang Wave and on iMOBShop.sg for a minimum amount spent, said SMRT today (Dec 3). Shoppers can also stand a chance to win a 5D4N trip to Dubai for the Middle East Film & Comic Con event next year for every S$30 spent.
