Tickets to SG50 film 7 Letters snapped up
SINGAPORE – Tickets to 7 Letters, the film by seven acclaimed Singaporean directors, were all snapped up within three hours of their release at noon yesterday. The tickets were not priced, but the public was invited to make donations instead, as all proceeds collected would go towards aiding specific causes in the community through beneficiaries selected by the directors.

The chosen charities are: Alzheimer’s Disease Association, Children-At-Risk Empowerment Association, Movement For The Intellectually Disabled Of Singapore, PERTAPIS Senior Citizens Fellowship Home, Singapore Buddhist Lodge Welfare Foundation, Student Care Service, and Transcient Workers Count Too.
7 Letters is an anthology of Singapore short stories by Boo Junfeng, Eric Khoo, K Rajagopal, Jack Neo, Tan Pin Pin, Royston Tan and Kelvin Tong. The SG50 film, made with the support of the Singapore Film Commission, will be screened from July 24 to 26 at the Capitol Theatre. In addition to the premiere screenings, there will be three additional matinee screenings for the pioneer generation and senior citizens, the underprivileged and film students.
