SINGAPORE — One Direction fans: Your prayers have been answered. Local radio station 987FM is giving two lucky fans the opportunity to come face-to-face with the boys before they perform in Singapore next year.

This Sunday (Oct 26), 987FM will be hosting ‘One Direction Day’ at 1pm outside The Heeren at Orchard Road. Over the past three days, the radio station had called on their listeners to submit videos of themselves performing made-up lyrics to the pop band’s songs. Ten have been selected to perform their original composition this Sunday and one winner will be flown to the US hang out with the band.

The second winner will be picked among fans who show up this Sunday. A lucky draw will be conducted for those who correctly pick the winner of the song contest.

Both winners will have their flights and accomodation covered. 987FM DJ Gerald Koh will also be flying to Orlando with the winners to meet the band at Universal Studios.

“I couldn’t wait to announce on air that we were flying fans up to Universal Studios, Orlando Resort because they get to go on rides with the boys,” said Koh.

“I’m very proud that Singapore is the only country in Southeast Asia to be part of this experience and 987FM is only radio station in Singapore that brings fans close to One Direction.”

One Direction will be performing at the National Stadium next year on March 11. Tickets are still available on the Sports Hub website.
