SINGAPORE — It looks like Korean boy band Big Bang will be one member short at this weekend’s YG Family concert in Singapore. According to Korean media reports, Seungri will not be performing after he was involved in a car accident in Seoul early this morning (Sept 12).

According to reports from Korean media, the 23-year-old was driving his Porsche along the North Riverside Expressway in Dongbuichon-dong, Seoul, when his car collided with a Mercedes Benz in front of him. His vehicle then hit a rail guard and flipped over.

His company YG Entertainment said in a statement that Seungri did not sustain any injuries, and “was not drunk driving”. A representative from the company also said the singer will be admitted to hospital to receive a full body check-up. Further tests showed that the singer had minor internal bleeding.

“The final test results showed no fractures, but did find some mild bleeding in the liver, so he is being hospitalised,” a YG Entertainment representative was quoted as saying. “(Seungri) is expected to be in hospital for about one week for treatment and recovery”.

The YG Family — 2014 Galaxy Tour: Power In Singapore concert also features Big Bang’s label mates PSY, 2NE1, Epik High and Winner, tomorrow and Sunday. Seungri and his bandmates were scheduled to attend a press conference at Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore later this evening.
