SINGAPORE — Grammy Award winners Corinne Bailey Rae and David Foster will be among the performers taking the stage at next year’s Singapore International Jazz Festival (Sing Jazz) when it returns to Marina Bay Sands (MBS) from March 31 to April 2.

The line-up, which will be expanded in the coming weeks, also features international stars Nik West, Youssou Ndour and Le Super Etoile de Dakar and Raul Midon Trio.

For the first time this year, organisers will also expand the festival to include The Late Show, an indoor show curated by Robbie Hoyes-Cock, who is the founder of The Podium Lounge, a popular party for VIPs at the Grand Prix.

The inaugural The Late Show will feature music sets performed by international artists and DJs, including Incognito, electronic duo Basement Jaxx, Al McKay’s Earth, Wind & Fire Experience, and Brit Award winners Rudimental DJ Set, who will be performing in Singapore for the first time.

The fourth edition of the annual festival will be held at MBS’ Event Plaza.

“The wealth of talent converging in Singapore on this music bonanza weekend reinforces Singapore’s position as a key destination for music and the arts,” said David Smith, artistic director of Sing Jazz, noting that British rock band Coldplay will also be performing over the same weekend at the National Stadium.

“By expanding Sing Jazz to include The Late Show, we are introducing a thrilling new dimension to the Festival. It caters to the late night party crowd and clubbers looking for a celebrity-driven VIP experience. The Festival now boasts 12 hours of music on each day (Friday and Saturday) and I’m particularly excited by our VIP Green Room which allows guests to rub shoulders with all of the stars of this mega music weekend in Singapore,” Hoyes-Cock added.

Limited Early Bird tickets for the Singapore International Jazz Festival 2017: Main Stage and The Late Show start from $88 and go on sale on Tuesday (Dec 13) from 10am at www.marinabaysands.com/ticketing and www.apactix.com.

The Late Show will take be held at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre from 10pm to 4am on Friday (March 31) and Saturday (April 1) night.
