PAULA TSUI 2014 LIVE IN SINGAPORE. Hong Kong Mega Superstar Paula Tsui will hold her first ever concert in Singapore this August. The beloved artistes is also the Guinness World Record holder for the most number of single event concerts in a continuous period of 43 concerts in 37 days in Hong Kong, earning her the nickname ‘Paula Forty-three’. ROJAK: A MUSICAL TRIBUTE TO ALL THINGS SINGAPOREAN. Windson Leong, having recently returned to Singapore from performing Miss Saigon in Sweden, is joined by pianist Julian Wong for an evening of tributes to Singaporean musical theatre talents, such as Dick Lee and Bang Wenfu. SHARING THE JOURNEY – AT HOME WITH THE CLASSICS. As part of Temasek’s 40th anniversary series of community events, the Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO) and conductor Jason Lai play this series of interactive musical performance, suitable for the whole family. IDAH UNPLUGGED. Singaporean-born Idah will be performing acoustic, stripped-down covers of local tunes, bringing two generations of Singaporean talents in one night. Aug 5, 7.15pm to 8.45pm, Esplanade Concourse. Free admission.

MARTIN NG’S BEL CANTO SPECTACULAR. Now based in Italy, Ng returns to Singapore to perform a series of virtuoso arias with guest vocalist Tan Sin Sim. Aug 8, 7.30pm, Esplanade Recital Studio. Tickets at S$20 from TicketMash.

SUPERFLY. The three-piece local band promises to deliver funky, playful arrangements of familiar and beloved National Day theme songs, as well as perform covers of local pop songs in English and Malay. Aug 6 & 7, 7.15pm to 8.45pm, Esplanade Concourse. Free admission.

OUR FOLKSONGS, OUR TUNES. The Orchestra Collective is an independent musical ensemble based in Singapore, and will be performing their debut show presenting classical and wind band repertoire. Aug 10, 3pm, Esplanade Concert Hall. Free admission.

AN EVENING WITH VOICES. Hwa Chong Voices presents their first independent concert in six years, and will be performing classics from Victor Hugo, Bach and the Kings’ Singers, among many others. Aug 10, 7.30pm, Esplanade Recital Studio. Tickets at S$15 from SISTIC.
