TROPIC GREEN. The band is made up of musicians from Singapore, the United States, Cuba and Japan, offering a hard-to-find balance of punchy rhythmic beats with lyrical melodies. Nov 29, 9pm, Sultan Jazz. S$25 admission.

RUSSIA-SINGAPORE JAZZ SYMPHONIA. Singapore’s Jeremy Monteiro and Russian jazz musicians will stage a musical collaboration, featuring a jazz sextet and a symphony orchestra. Nov 29, 8pm, SOTA Concert Hall. Tickets at S$70 and S$80 from Sistic.

GLENN FREDLY. Ever since winning first place in Cipta Pesona Bintang, a popular televised singing contest, the Indonesian singer has since released 11 albums, and is known as “the Hit Maker” by fans. Nov 29, 8pm, The Star Theatre. Tickets at S$58 to S$128 from Sistic.

ALL JAZZED UP. Local musicians give familiar tunes a jazz makeover as Danial, The Smooth Bottoms, Clarice & The Jive Collection and Charlie Lim pay tribute to jazz, soul and pop luminaries. Nov 29 to Dec 1, various times, Esplanade Outdoor Theatre. Free.

RAHUL ADVANI. His influences may range from the likes of The Fray to Sara Bareilles to Andrew Lloyd Webber and Michael Jackson, but Rahul performs his original songs this time. Nov 29, 7.15pm and 8.15pm, Esplanade Concourse. Free.

LANG LANG IN RECITAL. Heralded as the “hottest artist on the classical music planet” by the New York Times, renowned pianist Lang Lang performs three Mozart sonatas and Chopin’s Four Ballades. Nov 30, 7.30pm, Esplanade Concert Hall. Tickets at S$40 to S$188 from Sistic.

JACINTHA AND THE RICK SMITH QUARTET. With eight solo albums under her belt, Ja’s work draws influences from artistes like Julie London and Stacy Kent. Nov 30, 9.30pm, Sultan Jazz. S$25 admission.

MARCOS VALLE: 50 YEARS OF FUNK & BOSSANOVA. Bossa nova pioneer Marcos Valle returns to Esplanade to celebrate 50 years of music-making magic. Nov 30, 8pm, Esplanade Theatre. Tickets at S$48-128 from Sistic.

QIN YUAN 24: FANTASY HARMONICA NIGHT. Featuring favourite local harmonica artists like the Singapore Broadway Harmonica Ensemble and chromatic harmonica soloists - Lee Chin Wah, Lai Mun Guan and Cheng Jang Ming - who will perform songs like Pink Panther, Libertango, Indian Summer and more. THE PHILHARMONIC WINDS IN CONCERT: CIRCUS MAXIMUS! The Philharmonic Winds promises a musical that celebrates Richard Wagners’ 200th birth anniversary with a performance of March Of Homage, which also serves as a tribute to Singapore’s multi-racial background. REFLECTIONS BY SEYRA. The band SEYRA will pull you in with their emotional lyricism, layered guitar melodies and distinctive etheral voice, as they reinterpret their various musical influences. Dec 1 and 2, various times, Esplanade Concourse. Free.

BASSIS: MODESELEKTOR (MONKEYTOWN RECORDS/ 50 WEAPONS, DE). The German duo Modeselektor brings their hybrid production of heavy bass, enraptured pads and driving beats. Dec 1, Home Club. S$28 admission.

COFFEE MORNING & AFTERNOON TEA REMEMBERING LESLIE CHEUNG. Paying tribute to one of the most popular and versatile singers of the ‘80s Leslie Cheung is local singer Wilson Wong, who will sing unforgettable hits like The Wind Blows On, Pursuit and more. BARD COLLEGE AND SOOCHOW UNIVERSITY 2013 ASIA TOUR - INAUGURAL SINGAPORE CONCERT. Soochow University and Bard College celebrate their partnership with a one-night only concert in Singapore, featuring Singapore’s most critically-acclaimed violinists Siow Lee-Chin. NILE RODGERS AND CHIC - LIVE IN SINGAPORE. The one man hit-making factory and co-founder of his band CHIC, Nile Rodgers are coming to Singapore for a one-night only event! Producer and musician Nile Roders has created magic with many artists we know today, recently including Daft Punk. Together, Nile Rodger and CHIC will wow you through the night. VIVA VINSON. The Italian, American and African mixed artist has dabbled in film, television, and musical theatre but then realised her deeper passion for music. DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL (SOLO ACOUSTIC) LIVE! Indie and acoustic rock band Dashboard Confessional will be coming to Singapore, and what’s more, they will be taking requests from the floor. So be prepared to be amazed with hit after hit throughout the night with tracks from their multiple platinum and gold certified albums. Dec 4, 8.30pm, SHINE Auditorium. ONCE UPON A TIME. The first concert of the More Than Music series, the concert combines top quality classical music with a fresh perspective. SCO SERIES 2013/2014 A MUSICAL CONVERSATION OF SHENG & CELLO. Acclaimed sheng master Wu Wei breathes new life into the wind instrument with cutting-edge repertoire. He will perform a sheng concerto specially composed for him by German composer Enjott Schneider titled Earth and Fire. He will also be joined by SCO’s cello principal Xu Zhong.
