SINGAPORE — When “Heavenly King” Jacky Cheung comes over for his much-anticipated concert in February next year, you’d get a chance to drink your fill of him.

Cheung, 55, is performing his A Classic Tour concert for three nights, from Feb 24 to 26, and local promoter Unusual Entertainment has decided to launch tickets for all three shows at once — a first for Cheung — due to popular demand, says a press release today.

Held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, some 30,000 tickets would be available for sale.

The Singapore leg is one of several destinations that the singer-actor has planned for his tour, which will kick off from Beijing on Oct 21. It would mark his first concert tour in five years.

Other locations include Chongqing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Chengdu and Taipei. Earlier reports say Cheung will perform 20 shows at the Hong Kong Coliseum in December.

Cheung said in a previous press conference that he has been practicing dancing for at least two months to build up on his strength. The concert will also see him perform on a four-sided stage once again, after more than 21 years. “To me, the four sided stage is the epitome of classic. In fact, many of what you will see and hear on this tour is what defines classic for me. I do hope my classic will resonate with the audience,” said Cheung.

Tickets, which range from S$168 to S$368 (excluding booking fee), will be available for sale from Oct 20, 10am. To book, call 3158 7888 or log onto www.sportshubtix.sg. They are also available at the Singapore Indoor Stadium Box Office and all Singpost outlets islandwide.
