Liang Wern Fook to add second show

SINGAPORE – Liang Wern Fook will be adding a second show to his solo concert – the first in his impressive 35-year career – after all 5,000 tickets to his first show at The Star Theatre on April 11 were sold out in a record six hours. The second show will be held on April 10. Concert organiser Ocean Butterflies said in a statement that it had decided to add another show after the company received many messages from fans who weren’t able to buy tickets to the first one.

The second show will be held on April 10. Concert organiser Ocean Butterflies said in a statement that it had decided to add another show after the company received many messages from fans who weren’t able to buy tickets to the first one.

Liang, who has written songs for stars like Kit Chan and Stefanie Sun, is set to perform some of the 200 tracks he has written over the course of his career - although he declined to name the singers he has invited to perform with him at his concert. The 50-year-old also said in a previous interview that he had deliberately chosen to hold his first concert this year to coincide with the 35th anniversary of his career, as well as Singapore’s 50th birthday.

Tickets to the second show of For Music, For Life…, which are priced from S$68 to S$158, will go on sale from noon on Feb 8 at SISTIC.
