SING JAZZ JAM. Keyboardist Wei Xiang, Eddie Layman, drummer and “jam meister” and bassist Christy Smith helm this night of jazz jams. Nov 16, 8.30pm, Sing Jazz Club. Free.

AN ACOUSTIC EVENING WITH JASON MRAZ AND RAINING JANE. The guy who brought you hits like The Remedy and I’m Yours will perform tracks from his chart-topping album, Yes, featuring collaborators Raining Jane. Nov 17 and 18, 8pm, The Star Theatre. Tickets from S$68 to S$168 from SISTIC.

DUNMAN SEC GUITAR ENSEMBLE. The Dunman Secondary School Guitar Ensemble produces an orchestral range similar to that of a symphony orchestra, and has received the Gold with Honours Award in 2011 and the Certification of Distinction in 2013 during the bi-annual Singapore Youth Festival Presentation. Nov 17, 7.15pm and 8.15pm, Esplanade Concourse. Free.

HOUSE OF TIMBRE. The House of Timbre at The Arts House features three live music and dining venues and a dedicated training and practice space for budding and emerging musicians called, the Timbre Rehearsal Space. Expect acoustic classic rock and Top 40 hits at Timbre @ The Arts House; blues, funk and soul at Barber Shop; and jazz at the Restaurant Olivia Cassivelaun Fancourt (OCF). The initial launch party lasts for four days from Nov 19 and you can expect performances from the likes of Gareth Fernandez, Michaela Therese and Ireson. Nov 19 to 22 and Nov 27 to 29, 7pm till late, House of Timbre, 1 Old Parliament Lane.

GLOBAL INDIAN CULTURAL CENTRE. As a lead-up to The Esplanade’s Kalaa Utsavam, its Indian Festival of Arts, students from the Global Indian Cultural Centre will present a repertoire of classical carnatic vocals accompanied by musicians on the mridangam and keyboard. Nov 20, 7.15pm and 8.15pm, Esplanade Concourse. Free.

KSTAR FANFEST 2014. Two concerts by the latest in K-pop: Girl’s Day and B1A4. Girl’s Day burst onto the scene in 2011 with their hit single Twinkle Twinkle, and followed that up with hits such as Expectation, Female President and their No 1 hit, Darling. B1A4 made their debut with the track OK, off their first EP Let’s Fly. They recently released their fifth mini album, Solo Day. Nov 21 and 22, 7pm, Sands Expo and Convention Center Hall C. Tickets at S$168 to S$238 (VIP) from SISTIC.

SKECHERS SUNDOWN FESTIVAL 2014. This music festival brings together Asian singing sensations all on the same stage. Artistes include Singapore’s Olivia Ong, Hong Kong’s Kate Tsui, Indonesia’s SOS, Korea’s Cross Gene, Bollywood performer Kanika Kapoor and Malaysia’s Shila Amzah. With special appearances by Jeremy Teng and Shigga Shay. Nov 22, 4pm, Marina Promenade (F1 Pit area). Tickets at S$138 (free standing) and S$118 (walkabout) from SISTIC.

BOLLYWOOD NIGHT. The Esplanade Concourse turns into one big Bollywood bash, where you can dance to some of the biggest hits. Nov 22, 9pm, Esplanade Concourse. Free.

TAN CHIN TUAN CENTENNIAL CONCERT: MAKE MUSIC. CELEBRATE LIFE. The Singapore Symphony Children’s Choir and conductor Wong Lai Foon offer a choral music featuring uplifting melodies such as Festival Sanctus, The Prayer and Climb Ev’ry Mountain. Nov, 22 2pm and 4pm, Victoria Concert Hall. Free.

WHITE NOISE QUARTET. White Noise is a project by Singaporean singer songwriter Juliet Pang and Australian pianist Didi Mudigdo. Since their inception in 2012, they have released an EP and performed at the Singapore Arts Festival and Yellowren Arts Festival. Nov 22, Blu Jaz Cafe. Free entry (“with a smile”)

NYPCO PRESENTS BILLBOARD ROCKX! The Nanyang Polytechnic Chinese Orchestra (NYPCO) will be perform modern melodies from the likes of One Direction, Katy Perry and Maroon 5 using traditional instruments. Nov 23, 5pm, Esplanade Concert Hall. Tickets at S$15 from SISTIC.
