AMY SEARCH LIVE IN SINGAPORE. It’s not a search for someone called Amy, but a concert by one of the top rockers north of the border, Amy (of top Malaysian rock band Search fame). REBECCA CHELLAPPAH AND FRIENDS IN RECITAL. Singaporean classical musicians - mezzosoprano Rebecca Chellappah, violinist Siew Yi Li, cellist Lin Juan and pianist Lim Yan - present a vibrant programme of modern chamber music in German, Spanish and English from the likes of Erich Korngold, Lori Laitman and Roger Quilter. POWER TO THE PORE! Backed by Naz on keyboards, Tim De Cotta on bass and Teo Jia Rong on drums, Singaporean singer Michaela Therese will perform tracks from her album Meekellah and her interpretations of some of her favourite homegrown music – from Vandetta to Caracal, from Moses Vadham to Zubir Said. Special guest performances by Aya Sekine of L.A.B., Vanessa Fernandez and Kaye of Darker Than Wax. Sep 26, 9.30pm, Esplanade Recital Studio. Tickets at S$25 from SISTIC.

THE JAZZ-BLUES BROTHERS. Two celebrated musicians: Jeremy Monteiro and Alberto Marcsico. One dynamic gig. The duo performs tunes from their new album, The Jazz Blues Brothers, as well as familiar numbers done in their inimitable style. Backed by Eugene Pao on guitar, Shawn Letts on saxophone and Shawn Kelley on drums; and featuring Rani Singam, one of Singapore’s most prominent and soulful jazz singers. NANA MIZUKI LIVE FLIGHT 2014. One of Japan’s top anime song artistes, Nana Mizuki, is bringing her highly anticipated solo concert to Singapore for the very first time. Sept 27, 6.30pm, Resorts World Theatre, Resorts World Sentosa. Tickets at S$277, S$197 and S$157 from SISTIC. Keep your ticket stub for goodie bag collection at the venue.

BEFORE THE INTERNET ATE OUR BRAINS. Vox, Singapore’s first pop-rock string quartet promise “a night of epic proportions” with their bold re-interpretations of rock classics and classical-modern mash-ups. Sept 27, 8pm, Zouk. Tickets at S$40 from SISTIC.
