No Mythologies To Follow (Mo) | 2/5
SINGAPORE — Mo is actually Danish singer/songwriter Karen Marie Orsted (fun fact: “Mo” apparently means “maiden” or “virgin” in Danish) and No Mythologies To Follow is her debut album. Of course, she makes electro-pop music, which might not necessarily appeal to non-fans of the genre — to the uninitiated, the album can sound like one endless tune. Several tracks could possibly appeal to the casual listener though: Never Wanna Know, Pilgrim and Slow Love are pretty accessible tracks. Well, in the sense that it doesn’t make you want to press the “stop” button immediately.
