In A Perfect World (Kodaline) | 3/5
On the broad scope of things, there’s nothing wrong with this album at all. Irish outfit Kodaline dot the “i”s and cross the “t”s on this album, in which they offer 11 tracks, including singles All I Want, Love Like This and their Irish chart-topper, High Hopes. In A Perfect World is full of spit and polish, but there seems to something missing. Or maybe it’s because I like a little grit in the cogs, like what fellow compatriots The Coronas or even The Waterboys had on offer. It’s pleasant enough, but the gem here actually is the bonus DVD, which shows the band in full flight at a concert.
