Rockers Ah5ive for Taiwan rock fest

SINGAPORE - Singapore Chinese rock band, ah5ive, will represent Singapore in the 2014 edition of the annual Ho Hai Yan Rock Festival in Taiwan. The festival, which runs from July 9 to 13 is held at Fulong Beach, and is considered to be Taiwan’s largest indie rock festival.

SINGAPORE - Singapore Chinese rock band, ah5ive, will represent Singapore in the 2014 edition of the annual Ho Hai Yan Rock Festival in Taiwan. The festival, which runs from July 9 to 13 is held at Fulong Beach, and is considered to be Taiwan’s largest indie rock festival.

Formed in 2007, Ah5ive - who recently performed the theme for the MediaCorp Channel 8 blockbuster C.L.I.F. 3 - will be performing a full set on July 10 at 4pm featuring songs from their first album, Let Us Feel The Blazing Lights, as well as their upcoming sophomore, which is currently in the middle of production. According to a statement released by the band, stickers will handed out at the festival, which allows fans a free download of their latest songs.

This year’s instalment of Ho Hai Yan will feature performances by some of the most established acts from China and Taiwan, including Ah Mei, Zhang Zhen Yue and Lu Guang Zhong, as well as acts from around the world, including popular Malaysian outfit Manhand, visual-kei band D=OUT from Japan and Her Bright Skies from Sweden. The music festival will also be streamed live on YouTube.
