Sandy Lam, George Lam to hold concerts in Singapore

SINGAPORE — It looks like July will be a great month for fans of Cantopop.

Cantopop legend George Lam will be celebrating his 40th anniversary in the music industry with a show at The Star Theatre on July 6, while Hong Kong diva Sandy Lam will hold her concert at the same venue on July 23.

George Lam, who debuted in 1976, is known for his powerful vocals, and writing and performing songs like I Need You Every Minute and In The Middle Of The Water. He kicked off his anniversary tour with four sold-out shows at the Hong Kong Coliseum in January this year.

Sandy Lam, who celebrated 30 years in music last year, will be bringing her PRANAVA world tour to Singapore, after shows in Hong Kong and Taipei. The singer, who will perform hits like At Least I Still Have You, I Heard Love Came Back and Gaia, has also invested nearly than S$300,000 on 30 outfits for the tour.

 

George Lam’s 40th Anniversary Concert will be held at 8pm on Wednesday, July 6 at The Star Theatre. Tickets for his show are from S$78 to S$198 from SISTIC, and available from 10am on Monday, April 25. 

Sandy Lam’s Pranava concert will be held at 8pm on Saturday, July 23 at the same venue. Tickets from S$98 to S$228 will go on sale from April 26 on SISTIC.
