SINGAPORE — British band The xx is set to make a return to our shores after selling out two nights at the Star Theatre back in 2013.

This time round, the band, which recently released their third album, I See You, will be performing at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on July 25.

Formed in London in 2005, the xx — Romy Madley Croft (vocals, lead guitar), Oliver Sim (vocals, bass guitar), and Jamie Smith (beats, MPC sampler) — whose music has been described by critics as “dream pop” or “indie electronic”, released their self-titled debut to great acclaim, winning the Mercury Prize along the way to success.

Their second album Coexist, shot to the top of the UK album charts when it was released in 2012; as did I See You, when it was released in January this year.

For the new Singapore show, they are also bringing along a special guest, Sampha, who has worked with a variety of musicians, including SBTRKT, Jessie Ware, Drake, Kanye West, Solange and Katy B. He recently released his debut album, Process, which was a Top 10 hit back home in the Britain.

Presale tickets for the show go on sale on April 3 to 6, while general sale tickets are available from April 7. Tickets are price from S$98 to S$148, and available online at Sports Hub Tix (http://www.sportshub.com.sg/sportshubtix/Pages/thexx-2017.aspx), the Singapore Indoor Stadium box office and all SingPost outlets.

You can join The xx mailing list (thexx.info/tour) to receive presale password.
