Zouk and Ismaya Live announce We The Citizens Fest

SINGAPORE — So it seems that when lifestyle entertainment groups, Zouk Singapore and Ismaya Live, announced last week that the planned Beach Beats Fest was cancelled, what they really meant was that they were cancelling the venue but holding the same event under a different name and at a different venue.

SINGAPORE — So it seems that when lifestyle entertainment groups, Zouk Singapore and Ismaya Live, announced last week that the planned Beach Beats Fest was cancelled, what they really meant was that they were cancelling the venue but holding the same event under a different name and at a different venue.

Enter We The Citizens Fest, which will take place at Zouk itself on Jiak Kim Street (instead of at Palawan Green previously). This will be final National Day celebrations held at this memorable venue.

As previously announced, the same line-up as Beach Beats Fest will be featured. That means Singapore’s Charlie Lim, British artiste Mark Ronson, who worked with Bruno Mars for the smash hit, Uptown Funk; singer-songwriter Hayden James and hip-hop artiste Ta-ku (both from Australia) and The Netherlands’ Sam Feldt, will all be featured in the main room.

Over at Velvet Underground-Dance, DJs such as LeNerd, STRASSH and RAH, will be manning the decks; while Velvet Underground-Lounge will see the likes of AndrewTang and Matthew, among others, taking centrestage. Meanwhile, Phuture will become a cinema showing local movies.

In addition to this event, Zouk Singapore will also be having a pre-National Day themed night for their Mambo at Zouk (Aug 8) and a red-white themed TGIW on Aug 10.
