NDP to be aired ‘live’ on Toggle and other MediaCorp platforms

SINGAPORE — MediaCorp has announced today (August 7) that it will be broadcasting the National Day Parade 2013 ‘live’ on its online platform Toggle and across multiple other platforms, such as television, radio, out-of-home and online.

SINGAPORE — MediaCorp has announced today (August 7) that it will be broadcasting the National Day Parade 2013 ‘live’ on its online platform Toggle and across multiple other platforms, such as television, radio, out-of-home and online.

Television viewers in Singapore can watch the parade proceedings on Channel 5, HD 5, Channel 8, Channel U, okto, Suria, and Vasantham from 545pm to 835pm. Viewers in Asia will also be able to catch the NDP on Channel NewsAsia International from 535pm to 835pm Singapore time, as well as on its website at http://www.channelnewsasia.com/live, and http://www.channelnewsasia.com/nd2013.

MediaCorp radio stations will cover the parade over 938LIVE, Capital 95.8FM, Warna 94.2FM and Oli 96.8FM from 545pm to 835pm in English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil respectively.

For the first time, MediaCorp’s interactive service Toggle will simulcast Parade proceedings across the four language platforms, Channel 5, Channel 8, Suria and Vasantham. Overseas Singaporeans can take the opportunity to view our National Day Parade ‘live’ on Toggle via SG+, by registering for a Toggle account with their NRIC number. XinMSN is also offering live streaming of the simulcast Parade proceedings from Channel 5.

MediaCorp’s digital screens will also show the Parade at JCube, Bugis Village, iFly (Sentosa), Orchard Central (indoor), Ion Orchard and the newly renovated ChinaTown Point on indoor and outdoor screens from 545pm to 835pm. Toggle will also bring the parade to The Star Vista and Bishan Junction 8 via the screens there.

Selected bus-stops in town will also screen the proceedings on 55-inch LED TV screens.

Viewers who are unable to catch the ‘live’ broadcast of the Parade may catch encore telecasts on television in English on okto Aug 17, 6pm to 9pm or on Channel 5 and HD 5 on Aug 18, 3pm to 645pm; in Mandarin on Channel 8 on Aug 11, at 1pm to 430pm; in Malay on Suria on Aug 18, 350pm to 645pm; and in Tamil on Vasantham Aug 15, 3pm to 6pm. Viewers can also watch it on Toggle catchup at http://www.toggle.sg/page/free/491 across the four channels, and XinMSN will also offer catchup viewing on http://www.xinmsn.com/ndp2013 for Channel 8 and Channel 5 from Aug 10.
