Pharrell Williams, Maroon 5 to perform at S’pore Grand Prix

SINGAPORE – The 2015 Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix has announced that American Grammy award-winning acts Pharrell Williams and Maroon 5 will be the headlining acts for this year’s Singapore GP. Williams, who will be visiting Singapore for the first time as a solo artist, is set to perform on Sept 18 at the Padang Stage, while Maroon 5 will take the stage on Sept 19.

SINGAPORE – The 2015 Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix has announced that American Grammy award-winning acts Pharrell Williams and Maroon 5 will be the headlining acts for this year’s Singapore GP. Williams, who will be visiting Singapore for the first time as a solo artist, is set to perform on Sept 18 at the Padang Stage, while Maroon 5 will take the stage on Sept 19.

Williams, who has won seven Grammys, two BBC Music awards and two BET awards, is perhaps best known for his smash single Happy, which sold over 12 million copies. Maroon 5 first performed at the Singapore GP in 2012 and is back by popular demand. The band, which has sold more than 17 million albums worldwide, will be performing some of their best hits, as well as songs from their latest album, V.

Iconic ’80s British band Spandau Ballet, best known for hits such as True, Gold and Through The Barricades will also make its Singapore debut at the Village Stage on Sept 19.
